I like to think the photographer just legitimately didn’t know what the napkin holder was but had some toast to include as a prop and nobody else wanted to tell them their conclusion was wrong
The smile on that face tho says like “I just discovered a new use for this! I’m so smart” like they’re so proud for having figured that out lol
